GRANT RECIPIENTS

Meet the Artists

At the heart of the Walker Youngbird Foundation are the artists we serve—emerging and mid-career Indigenous creators across Turtle Island who are shaping new cultural landscapes through their practice.

From painters and printmakers to fashion designers, performance artists, and experimental storytellers, WYB-supported artists embody a deep commitment to heritage, vision, and community. They are grounded in tradition but never bound by it. Each brings forward unique ways of seeing, remembering, and imagining.

We are proud to amplify their voices, celebrate their achievements, and support the ecosystems that allow them to thrive.

Throughout the year, the Walker Youngbird Foundation offers multiple grants to support Indigenous artists. We’re especially excited to support artists whose work lives at the intersection of ancestral knowledge and contemporary expression—those who carry forward tradition while shaping new narratives.
